Leroy Joseph Beaupre, born on November 2, 1941, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2026, at Northwestern Medical Center following a period of declining health. Leroy leaves behind a legacy of steadfast dedication, both in his professional life and the deep love he held for his family.

A skilled mechanic for the majority of his working years, Leroy’s craftsmanship extended into his retirement where he became a valued machine builder and repairman at Pizza Putt. Even in his retirement, his hands remained skilled, occasionally repairing vehicles with the same care and precision that defined his career. His passion for cars was never far from his heart, as he was a true car enthusiast who enjoyed everything automotive.

Leroy was affectionately nicknamed “Cookie Monster,” a testament to his love of snacks and the warm generosity with which he shared them. Those who knew him remember a man of quiet strength—reserved yet deeply caring. His thoughtfulness was evident in the simple kindnesses he extended daily, always willing to lend a hand or share a smile. His love for his family shone brightly, especially in his affectionate devotion to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leroy found joy in many hobbies, including playing bar games from Pizza Putt, watching UFC and wrestling, and immersing himself in crime shows, all while keeping his ever-present snacks close by.

Leroy’s family remains his greatest treasure. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Linda Beaupre; his children Kandy Beaupre, Leroy A. Beaupre, Amy Bevins, Heather Beaupre, Billy Beaupre, Tory Gaudette, Angie Sweet, and Troy Sweet; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward. Leroy also leaves behind his siblings Darlene Bearthue, Kevin Beaupre, and Terry Beaupre, as well as nieces and nephews who cherished his presence. Among those standing by his family’s side are his siblings-in-law Barbara Duffy, Michael Gaudette, Susanne Tyler, Lorina Otte, John Gaudette, and Kathline Thompson.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents Alexander Beaupre and Ida Mae Myers, his son Todd Sweet, siblings Sheila Morse, Gloria Myers, and Pete Myers, and brothers-in-law Robert Gaudette and Anthony Gaudette, as well as sister-in-law Brenda Turner.
