William Edward Brouard, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a treasured member of his community, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in Westford, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 7, 1930, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Bill was a man whose life reflected a profound dedication to family, faith, and service.

Throughout his career, Bill devoted himself to IBM, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement in 1991. His professional life was marked by a deep commitment to excellence and integrity, traits that were equally evident in his personal relationships. He held strong values, always putting his wife and family first, ensuring their needs were met before his own. His unwavering love for his beloved wife, Doris Brouard, whom he cherished for 72 wonderful years, remains an enduring testament to the couple's partnership. Together, they've built a life filled with laughter, support, and unwavering affection.

A proud Navy veteran who served as a radio man in Korea, attaining the rank of Seaman, Bill carried the lessons of service and duty throughout his life. He attained his associate degree in Electrical Engineering from the Wentworth Institute in Boston, a milestone from which he launched a fulfilling career.

Faith played a pivotal role in Bill's life, serving as the cornerstone of his values. Family prayers were a nightly ritual, fostering a spirit of togetherness that resonated through generations. Bill was known for being a man of few words, yet those words often carried great power and wisdom. His personality was characterized by sweetness and honesty; those fortunate enough to know him will fondly remember him as a quiet yet impactful presence.

In addition to his professional and familial accomplishments, Bill took great pride in building the house with his sons, a testament to his hands-on spirit and commitment to family tradition. His hobbies included fishing, enjoying the great outdoors, and operating his HAM radio, pursuits that filled his life with joy and adventure. He also had a knack for small engine repair, reflecting his resourceful nature and love for hands-on activities. His boys will remember the many years of coaching and refereeing basketball.

Bill's legacy is carried on by his devoted wife, Doris, and their four children: Denise Brynga, Joe Brouard and his spouse Pamela, Tom Brouard and his spouse Linda, and William J. Brouard. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren—Rebecca, Christopher, Bethany, Daniel, Veronica, Austin, Carolyn, Kaitlyn, and Matthew—and had five great-grandchildren, with two more expected in the very immediate future.

He joins his late son-in-law, Christopher R. Brynga, brother Arthur Brouard, and his parents, Olivine (Gagnon) and Joseph A. Brouard, in eternal rest.

Bill's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, faith, and dedication. His family and friends will miss him dearly and remember him not just for his achievements, but for the heartwarming love he brought to their lives. As those who loved him gather to celebrate his life, they will carry forward the values he instilled—of family, service, and faith—keeping his spirit alive in their hearts.
