Saint Albans, VT--Wilfred John Gauthier Sr., 94, passed away March 10, 2021 at St. Albans Health and Rehab.
Wilfred was born on May 6, 1926 in Lacolle, Quebec, and was a son of ElidorGauthier and Adelia (Duquet).
Mr. Gauthier was World War II veteran, serving in the Navy. After the end of the war, he continued his service for twenty years in the Navy Reserves.
Wilfred was a Self Employed working as a salvage removal specialist for most his life. However, he was a jack of all trades. No task was too great for him to undertake.
He is survived by: his children, Susan (Arthur) Yandow, of Williston, Wilfred Gauthier Jr., of Marshfield, Mark Gauthier, of California, Linda (Steven) Foster, of Colchester,Nancy Scribner(Stephen) of Marshfield and Raymond (Michelle) Gauthier of Oregon.; Lorrie Cruz of St. Albans, his special friend whom he considered as his own daughter, he cherished all the family gatherings and special times together, fishing and camp gatherings, and looked forward to the holidays for the past 18 years; his grandchildren, Peggy, Missy, Eric,Tammy, Justin, Sarah, Shasta and Hannah and several great-grandchildren,
He is predeceased by his father, ElidorGauthier; mother, Adelia Gauthier; his two children Donna and Steven Gauthier and all of his siblings, Albert Gauthier, Ida Brace, Leo Gauthier and Lea Wheelock.
