Virginia Ann Morgan

South Burlington, VT - Virginia Ann (Jennings) Morgan, 79, passed February 22, 2021 at her home after a courageous multi-year fight against cardiac amyloidosis and multiple myeloma. Virginia was born on July 19, 1941 in Burlington, and was the daughter of the late Sidney Jennings and the late Emma (Hallock) Jennings.

She married George Morgan, Jr. on March 17,1984 in Starksboro, VT.

Virginia grew up in Monkton, Starksboro and eventually Huntington and graduated from Richmond High School in 1958. She drove school bus for the Chittenden East School District for over 20 years, a job which she loved so much and retired from. Prior to that she had worked for several years with the State of Vermont and Pizzagalli Construction.

Virginia, or "Ginny" as she was affectionately known, was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother, and (great) grandmother. She was the strength and never-ending support for her entire family, tirelessly giving of herself to take care of others. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and Washington football fan, and she enjoyed a good puzzle. She enjoyed gardening and cherished time with her family. Her smile and spirit will be forever with us.

She is survived by her children Ronald Rickert and his wife Debbie of North Carolina; William Rickert and his wife Cinthia, of Fairfax; Tami Rickert of South Burlington and her partner Michael Giroux of Hinesburg; and, Tina Hagen and her husband John of Montpelier. Virginia is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and by her siblings, Lawrence Jennings of Richmond, Shirley King of Milton, and Rita Parker of Colchester as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband George Morgan, Jr., her daughter Judy Rickert, her brothers Gary Jennings and Frank Jennings, her niece Robin Jennings, and her brothers-in-law Francis King and George Parker.
