Swanton Vermont
Torrey Lea Anne Underwood, 59, of Swanton Vermont, joined her parents, brother, sister and many friends on Jan 19, 2019 with her loving daughters, sister Tina and a phenomenal hospice nurse from Franklin County home health services by her side.
Torrey was born in August 1959 in St. Albans. She was one of 11 children of the late Carlton Arthur and Theresa (Fortune) Minor of Fairfax. Torrey always had an adventurous and spontaneous personality and wasn't afraid to let it shine. Torrey gave much pleasure in helping others in need and would give the shirt off her back for anyone. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her brother Mark and just being outdoors.
Torrey is survived by her two daughters, Kari and her husband, Imad, Kayce and her husband, Joe and two handsome grandsons Evan and William. Her daughter Kari's mother-in-law, Shamama that prayed for her every day and loved her with all her heart. She will be missed by her siblings, David, Michael (Ellen), Marty (Andrea), Marlene (David), Marvin (Lisa), Tina, Robin (Brenda) and Marlon. She was predeceased by her sister, Darlene and brother Mark. She also held many nieces and nephews close to her heart especially Shad and Kristy. And a big thank you to Mom's friend Irene for all her help during this difficult time and to Cora who always kept in touch and was always there no matter what.
Our family would like to thank Franklin County Home Health/Hospice Services, Pastor Roland from the Church of the Rock, St. Albans Primary Care, David Manchester, all of her doctors at UVM Medical Center, family, friends and all who loved her for being her.
Services will be held at a later date, family and friends will be notified.
