Thomas Wolenc, a beloved figure known for his warmth, humor, and multifaceted talents, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Burlington. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, on May 15, 1952, Thomas lived a life rich in experiences and connections, always embracing each day with a unique perspective and a smile.

He was a machine operator and laborer, Thomas was a jack of all trades and had a zest for life.

A man of many interests, Thomas committed over 25 years to reenacting the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War, bringing history to life with his passion and authenticity Tom was proud of the "Redcoat" uniform he adorned on many occasions. He found joy in camping at historical sites throughout New England, sharing stories, jokes and laughter with fellow enthusiasts. He loved his garden, but HATED weeding. Additionally, he enjoyed delving into the captivating worlds of science fiction movies and video games, transforming ordinary evenings into thrilling adventures.

Those who knew Thomas understood the delightful uniqueness of his character. He possessed a twisted sense of humor that could lighten the darkest of days and often left his loved ones in fits of laughter. His personality was truly one of a kind, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of calling him a friend, a colleague, or a loved one.

 He is lovingly remembered by his longtime love, Heidi Chamberlain, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He is also survived by his son and daughter and his three grandchildren. 

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Kirk) and Clarence Wolenc, whose nurturing spirits surely shaped the man he became. He leaves behind many countless memories.
