Thomas J. Letourneau, 61 of Colchester passed away on July 25, 2018.
Tom was born October 29, 1956 in Burlington. He was the son of the late Donald (Bob) and Constance (Connie) Letourneau. Tom was a graduate of Rice Memorial High School and Champlain College.
He is survived by his wife Pamela (Sanders).
He leaves his siblings David (Judy) Peggy Lewis, Mary Lockerby, John (Nancy) Robert (Kathy) George (Priscilla) Lynn (Rick) Barnett, Donald (Sue) Leslie (Gary Benjamin) and Laura Lesage.
Tom is also survived by his step-mother Barbara Letourneau, and her children Kelly, Chris & Tim and their spouses, three generations of favorite nieces and nephews, his Aunt Madeline (Babe) Moren; his Uncles John, George & Glen Crowley and many special Crowley & Letourneau cousins.
He is predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law Craig Lewis and Art Bosley.
A former IBM employee, the layoffs provided a new career challenge with Homeland Security beginning as a Customs and Border Protection officer and later an Immigration Services Officer, a position that he held until his passing.
Family celebrations, watching the Packers with his brothers and golfing were priorities for Tom. He was also passionate about his home landscaping and avidly collected equipment for summer and winter enjoyment.
It is with gratitude that we thank our forever friends and new friends and neighbors, Tom's Supervisor, Tim and his co-workers, Pam's co-workers/friends at JMM & Associates, the outstanding/fun nurses, Roxxy and staff, Dr. Greenblatt/Janet Ely and especially the man Tom held in highest regard, Dr. Thomas Peterson. His compassion and guidance will be forever appreciated.
Tom's family will greet friends on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton. A celebration of his Life will be held on a future date at the convenience of his family.
In lieu of flowers, Tom loved trees. If you would like to plant a tree or donate a tree to a non-profit, it would make Tom smile. His other passion was pet rescue. If you wish, a donation to the Chittenden County Humane Society, All Breed Rescue or Morris Animal Foundation would be appreciated by the likes of Nelli, Sophie & Olive and the many pets making their new homes in Vermont
