Sharon L Morin

August 8, 1955 — August 28, 2021

Essex Junction, VT - Sharon L Morin, 66, passed away August 28, 2021 at her residence. Sharon was born on August 8, 1955 in Chicago, IL, the Daughter of James Bowlds and Sophie (Mozdzierz) Bowlds. In life, she was a unique personality and a woman of many roles. A self-described tomboy in childhood and ruffian in high school (yeah, we can't picture that either) who sold her prized Camaro when she married and had a son (sorry, mom). Her early professional career was spent waitressing, first for the Golden Bear chain of restaurants in Illinois (remember those?) and later at Howard Johnson's after moving to Vermont (or how about those?). After waitressing she moved on to retail sales for Montgomery Ward. But she counted earning her bookkeeping certificate in record time among her highest professional accomplishments. Throughout the years since she worked as a secretary, helped run a family business with her husband and son and had been a full time caregiver to her mom. She made a lot of friends along the way and always had a favorite pet or two by her side. She moved across the country multiple times (those were some long car rides!) and selflessly cared for others wherever she went. To some she was Sharon, to others she was the lady with the cute dog, to me she was mom. I love you and miss you. She is survived by: Her son, Eric Morin and his wife Michelle of Milton; her furbaby, Jessi; her grand fur babies Lacee and Remy; her former husband, Rich Morin of the Virgin Islands; her siblings, Debi Kruse of Illinois and Cindy Neylon of Florida; and her aunt Eleanor "Chutchie" Grimm of Illinois. She is predeceased by her father, James Bowlds; mother, Sophie Bowlds; her 2 brothers Andy and Kenny Bowlds. In accordance with her wishes there will be no services at this time. The family asks that those wishing to send flowers instead consider making a donation in Sharon's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Humane Society of Chittenden County.
