Robert "Bob" Trombly

January 11, 1970 — February 21, 2024

Milton

Robert Trombly, known to many as Bob, passed away at the University of Medical Center after a period of declining health. He was born in Rutland and went on to earn an associate's degree from Champlain College. He was a full time dispatcher for the Shelburne police department, then Bob dedicated many years of his life to a career in retail, working as a manager for various stores including RadioShack and Payless Shoes. Bob’s career was not all in retail. He spent many years as a volunteer firefighter in Underhill/Jericho, South Burlington, where he was also an EMT at the same time for Shelburne, and Firefighter for Milton as well.

Described as a jokester with a great sense of humor, Bob was someone who knew how to bring laughter and joy into the lives of those around him. He found solace in deer hunting and cherished moments spent fishing or cruising on Lake Champlain aboard his boat. His love for dogs was evident to all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Prudence, his son Zackk, his parents Lloyd and Bonnie Trombly, as well as his two brothers John and Tanner. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

May Bob's spirit continue to shine brightly in the lives of his family and friends as they remember him with fondness and love. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
