Richard Allen St. Amour, Sr.

Burlington, VT--Richard Allen St. Amour Sr., 87, passed away June 9, 2021 at University of Vermont Medical Center with his children by his side. Richard was born on February 19, 1934 in Essex Junction and was a son of Howard St. Amour and Margaret (DeMag) St. Amour. He married Virginia Vincent on March 22, 1956 at Cathedral Church Chapel. Richard was a Lead Man and Machine Operator for Champlain Cable for over 35 years. He was the chairman of the band of Groovy Lunch Break, a 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus, and a honorary life member. Mr. St. Amour enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a very Proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in Korea. He is survived by his children, Richard St. Amour Jr of Burlington, Vincent St. Amour and Vanessa St.Amour of Georgia, Deborah Pope and her husband Thomas of Colchester, Susan Sibley and her husband Robert Sibley of Stannard Vt; His 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Josh, Nick ,Bridget, Jason, Kyle, Mary, Carlee. 7 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Gabe, Emma, Colby, Dragan, Jaxson and Riley.; his siblings Beverly Muir of Burlington, and Sandra St. Amour Green of St. Albans. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Virginia St. Amour; father, Howard St. Amour; mother, Margaret St. Amour DeMag. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, 14th of June, 2021, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Minor Funeral Home in Milton, Vermont. Mass will be held on June 14, 2021, 12:00 PM in St Ann Church with the burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery
