Ralph Thomas Stetson III St Albans-Ralph Thomas Stetson III, 79, of Westford passed away December 8, 2021 at the Northwestern Medical Center. Ralph was born on August 22, 1942 in Somerville, MA, the son of Ralph Stetson Jr and Anne (Kerrigan) Stetson. He married Karen (Wold) Stetson on December 5, 1964 at Stoneham, MA Ralph was a Vietnam Era Veteran serving as a submariner in the U.S. Navy achieving the rank of Petty Officer First Class. He then moved into the electronics field at Lincoln Laboratory and Raytheon in MA. After moving to Vermont he worked as a truck driver for many years. He then worked for the Red Cross in Burlington, first as a volunteer and then as the Emergency Services Coordinator. Ralph was raised to a Master Mason 45 years ago on March 16, 1976 in the King Cyrus Lodge in Stoneham, MA. He was a Past Master of Lamoille Lodge in Fairfax, VT. He was currently a member of the Good Samaritan Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Reading, MA and the Franklin Lodge No 4 F. & A.M. of St Albans, VT. Ralph was a member of The Scottish Rite. Ralph was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was currently a member in the Swanton Chapter #11. He joined the Stars in Fairfax and was a Past Patron there and he was also a District Deputy for the state of VT. Ralph belonged to the Green Mountain Base of the US Submarine Veterans, Inc and The American Legion. Ralph volunteered with many organizations through the years. Most notably he was an EMT with the Milton Rescue Squad in the 1980's. Ralph was an amateur radio operator with the call sign KD1R. He was a Life Member of the ARRL. Ralph was a member of the Latter-Day Saints. He is survived by his wife Karen, his daughter Nancy (Stetson) Barrows and husband Ricky of Westford, and his son Timothy of Colchester, his grandchildren Jessica (Barrows) Smith and husband Jeremey, Jennifer Barrows, Rick M Barrows, Anne Stetson, and William Stetson; his great grandchildren, Olivia Smith, Lillian Smith and Faith Barrows; his siblings Jean Stetson, Steve Stetson, Roberta Stetson, Fred Stetson and Scott Stetson Sr.: Sister-in-law Marje (Wold) Ellsworth and husband John, Sister-law Dorothy (Dyson) Wold, Brother-in-law Rick Wold, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Thomas Stetson, his parents Ralph and Anne Stetson, his in-laws Arthur and Louise Wold and his brother-in-law Carl Wold. Visiting hours will be held on December 19, 2021 from 2-5 with a service beginning at 5 pm at the Minor Funeral Home in Milton, VT. A committal service will be held on August 6th, 2022 at Brookside Cemetery in Westford, beginning at 2:00pm.
