Obituary of Phyllis Geraldine Bancroft
So. Burlington - Phyllis Geraldine Bancroft, 91, died peacefully on Friday December 24, 2020 at the Gazebo Villa in South Burlington.
Phyllis was born on May 2, 1929 in Lewiston, Maine the daughter of Henry and Dorothy Whitney.
She was married to Hartland E. Bancroft who predecease her on January 21, 1991.
Phyllis has worked for National Life of Vermont until retiring in 1986. Upon retirement, she and Hartland moved to Florida until returning to Vermont in 2009.
Phyllis is survived by her sons Bob Bancroft and his partner Nanette Rogers of Westford and Clifton Bancroft of Cabot and by her grandchildren Sarah, Nathan, Ira, Tyler and Morgan and by 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to Hartland, she was predeceased by her son Gary Bancroft in 2004 and her brother Henry "Hank" Whitney Jr.
There will be no services at this time. Burial will be held in Bennington at a later date.
