BURLINGTON - Philip John Desranleau, 61, our treasured father, husband, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend, went to be with his maker, our Lord Jesus, on Friday morning, April 8, 2022, surrounded by his wife and five children. Philip was born in Burlington, Vermont, on October 11, 1960, the son of the late Jean Desranleau and the late Shirley (Dubuque) Desranleau. He graduated from Milton High School in 1978 and completed an electrician apprenticeship, and worked as an electrician for over 40 years. In 1988, Philip met Patricia Smith at her family's farm in South Hero, Vermont, they were married in Milton on September 30, 1995. They settled in Milton and together raised five children. Philip is known for his generosity, kindness, sense of humor, and love that he so greatly shared with others. He found joy and delight in helping others, spending time with his family and friends, attending his children's sporting and school events over the years, and deer hunting in the fall. Philip loved his wife and children infinitely. He loved to spend time working in his garage with his son, Carson, have endless conversations and make constant jokes with his four daughters. He was always making his family laugh. Philip and Patricia's love for one another was fierce, and Philip loved the life and family they created together. Philip's wife and children were his entire world, and he was theirs. Philip was a lifetime resident of Milton and was well-known throughout the community for his meticulous work. He was an active member of St. Ann's Parish and The Milton Eagles Club. Philip is survived by his wife, Patricia Desranleau, his children and their spouses, Olivia Desranleau, Adrianna Stinson and her husband Ryan, Cassandra Desranleau, Katerina Desranleau, and Carson Desranleau. Philip is also survived by his nine siblings and their spouses, Veronica Dragon and her husband Bobby, Michael Desranleau and his wife Michelle, Teresa Rouse and her husband Duane, Rene Desranleau, Darrell Desranleau, Phyllis Abell, Eric Desranleau and his partner Stacie Baker, Louise Wise and her husband Scott, and Mary Beth Desranleau. Philip has many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who he is also survived by. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Minor Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Ann's Church on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, beginning at 11:00 AM. The burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery in Milton.
