Paul M. Beane, a man whose life was marked by strength, love, and an unmistakable zest for the simple joys, passed away on April 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 24, 1943, in Montpelier, growing up Waterbury, Paul’s journey through life was one of dedication, laughter, and unwavering family devotion.

Paul spent most of his professional life working at General Electric as a tool and gauge designer, a role in which he exhibited the same precision and care he brought to every aspect of his life. His work spoke to his strong work ethic and attention to detail, qualities that those close to him admired deeply. Paul also served in the Air National Guard in his early adult years.

Paul was strong both physically and emotionally. He was a man who carried himself with dignity, yet those who knew him well would recognize his mischievous spirit and the warmth that defined his interactions. Paul was honest and straightforward, yet beneath that forthrightness was a genuinely kind heart.

Paul’s greatest passions were rooted in the outdoors and sports. A lifelong lover of snowmobiling, Paul found freedom and exhilaration in the snow-covered landscapes he so adored. His enthusiasm for hunting spoke to his connection with nature and his active lifestyle. An extraordinarily athletic man, Paul excelled in basketball and baseball, but it was golf where he truly shone—earning several club championships that were a testament to his skill and competitive spirit.

Paul was, above all, a devoted family man who treasured his loved ones. He shared 54 beautiful years in marriage to his beloved wife, Sherry (Spencer) Beane. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family, cherishing the bonds that held them together through life’s many seasons. He was a proud father and grandfather to his loving family including his two daughters, Dawn Newton and her husband Jayson, and Lara Alemy and her husband Randall. His joy was multiplied by the presence of his grandchildren—Kiera and Connor Newton, and Morgan and Gavin Alemy —who brought light and laughter into his life. He also leaves behind a brother-in-law, Terry Spencer and his family, and the Casavant family, as well as extended family.

His parents, Myrtie and Leo Paul Beane, preceded him in death, yet their legacy lived on in the values and spirit Paul embodied each day.

As we remember Paul, we hold close the image of a strong, loving, and spirited man—a husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend who faced life with courage and joy. His legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, as his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched so profoundly.

Services will be announced in the near future.
