Patricia Ann Janes

Patricia Ann Janes (Milne) 89 of Colchester VT, Formerly Venice FL, passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2026. Patricia was born June 18, 1937 in Barre, VT and grew up in Rutland, VT. She later moved her family to Essex, VT and worked for the Burlington School District Department throughout the 70's and into the early 90's.

Patricia loved to sing and was a member of the Champlain Echo's Women's Chorus. She enjoyed numerous competitions and travel throughout the U.S. While living in Florida, Patricia participated in her communities bingo, Mahjong, Water aerobics as well as several plays put on by the community. She had many dear friends and neighbors who care for her before moving back to Vermont.

Patricia is survived by her children Shari A. Marshall and Paul of Scottsville, Kentucky. Jeffrey L. Bersaw and Roberta of Beech Island, South Carolina. Karen J. Lockwood and Eugene of Colchester, Vermont. Her very special family friend Penny L. Brooks who she referred to as her "other daughter", Her four Grandchildren Joe Ratta, Katie Prinz, James Norton and Kristina 
Schell and their spouses. She also had two step grandchildren Travis and Corey Gorton. Patricia also leaves twelve Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents Alfred and Mary O'Connell and sisters June Rutledge and Francis Ianni.

The family would like to thank Patricia's Home Hospice care team, who provided exceptional care and commitment to her comfort during her final days.
