Nancy Barber

Milton--Nancy Barber, 80, passed away February 1st,2022 after a courageous battle with cancer at University of Vermont Medical Center. Nancy was born on September 8th, 1941, in Moretown, Vermont, the daughter of Harry Washburn and Beulah Washburn (Cunningham) Nancy was very proud of her position as a data entry clerk at Digital where she worked for many years. She had a passion for creating stained glass, even teaching classes at times to others to share her love for it. Her family fondly remembers the nights sitting together and having Nancy play her beloved Banjo while many stories and laughs were shared. Nancy also was well known for her love of hummingbirds which she enjoyed while bird watching. She is survived by: her children, Joseph and wife Jacie Barber of Milton; her grandchildren, Brittany Barber of Essex and Marcus Knapp of South Burlington; her great-grandchild Axel Barber; her siblings Harry (Sally) Washburn of Essex, Hugh (Lee) Washburn of Essex, Susan Bessette of Panton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Glenn A. Barber. There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, February 6th, beginning at 11:00am at the Eagles Club in Milton.
