Maureen Miller, lovingly known as Maureen Roell before her marriage to Robert A. Miller, passed away on January 6, 2024, at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She was born on October 13, 1964, in Syoset, New York. Maureen was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of those around her with her warmth and kindness.

With a deep passion for nursing, Maureen dedicated many years of her life working at local nursing homes. Her compassion and dedication brought comfort and solace to countless individuals during their under her care. She attained an associates degree in nursing, embodying her commitment to caring for others with utmost professionalism and skill.

Beyond her professional achievements, Maureen's true joy in life came from her cherished family. She loved them deeply and demonstrated this love through her unwavering support and selflessness. Her husband Robert A. Miller was a constant source of love and strength throughout their beautiful journey together.

Maureen took immense pride in being a mother to her children: Alex Roell of Michigan, Robert J. Miller and his fiancé Belma of Burlington, Kerri Miller and her partner Keagan Landry of St. Albans, and Kyle Miller of Milton, and two grandchildren Ellie and Asher. She adored each one of them unconditionally and nurtured their dreams with boundless encouragement. Her love created an environment where they felt safe to pursue their aspirations and grow into remarkable individuals.

In addition to her immediate family, Maureen held a special bond with her siblings Kathleen Roell of Massachusetts and Eddie Roell of Florida.  She was the aunt to many nieces and nephews. Their shared experiences created a strong bond that weathered the test of time.

Maureen's creativity knew no bounds. She had an artistic spirit that found its expression through various crafts she made by hand. Every creation was touched by her love and attention to detail. Additionally, she found solace in gardening—an activity that allowed her to connect with nature and find tranquility amidst the blooms she nurtured.

Maureen leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Her warm smile, gentle touch, and compassionate heart will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will forever live on in the lives she touched.

In this time of profound grief, let us remember Maureen's unwavering love and let it guide us through the darkness into a place of healing and solace. As we mourn the loss of an exceptional individual, let us also celebrate her life, for her impact on our hearts will never fade away.
