Mark B. Drew, a renowned architect who dedicated his life to designing buildings and bridges in Vermont, has passed away at the age of 82. Mark had an unmatched passion for creating custom structures, always striving to bring uniqueness and innovation to his projects.

Born on May 21, 1941, in Burlington, Vermont, Mark's talent and ambition led him to become a well-respected architect. His education and expertise in the field were unmatched, as he continuously demonstrated an acute understanding of the balance between aesthetics and functionality.

However, Mark's legacy extends far beyond his professional accomplishments. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his community. Throughout his life, he actively engaged in volunteer work and served as a selectman in Wolcott. Mark also dedicated himself to protecting others by serving as a firefighter. Moreover, he found solace and purpose within the walls of the church where he devoted much of his time.

A man of light-heartedness and humor, Mark shared countless treasured moments with his grandson Jordan, regaling him with jokes and stories that brought immense joy to both their lives. Additionally, he possessed an appreciation for country music that resonated deep within him. Nourishing his mind through reading the newspaper was another activity that brought him great pleasure.

Outside of work and family life, Mark found solace in various hobbies. Gardening allowed him to connect with nature while walking and conversing with friends provided invaluable company throughout his days. He had an insatiable love for hamburgers and pastries that could put smiles on everyone's faces. One cannot forget to mention Bono, his loyal and faithful canine companion who brought immeasurable joy into his life.

Mark cherished memorable vacations spent in New Hampshire and Maine, thoroughly enjoying the tranquility offered by the vastness of the ocean. These moments reflected his appreciation for life's simple pleasures—a testament to the kind of person he was.

On September 19, 2023,Mark passed away in Corona, California. His departure leaves behind a void that cannot be easily filled. He will forever be remembered and dearly missed by his two sons, Mark Drew and Matthew Drew, as well as his four beloved grandchildren: Megan, Jordan, Matt, and Gus.

Mark is predeceased by three former wives, Karen, Alice, and Sally. The connections and memories shared with them undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping the wonderful man Mark became.

Mark B. Drew was an exceptional architect whose dedication brought forth magnificent structures throughout Vermont. However, it was his unwavering commitment to community service and infectious sense of humor that truly set him apart. His passing marks the end of an era but also serves as a reminder of how one person can touch the lives of many in ways both big and small.

May his soul rest in eternal peace as we celebrate the remarkable life of Mark B. Drew—a man who left an indelible impact on all those fortunate enough to have known him. In accordance with his wishes, interment took place in Taylor Cemetery in Wolcott.
