Marilyn Jean Lozon, born on September 4, 1948, in St. Albans, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her journey on this earth came to a poignant close on December 1, 2025, at the University of Vermont Medical Center after a period of declining health, surrounded by her loving family.
Marilyn's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of love, dedication, and warmth. She commenced her working career at Green Mountain Power, paving the way toward a vibrant professional life. Later, she made significant contributions to Allergy Associates and served as an Administrative Assistant at St. Michael's College for over 15 years, eventually retiring from her role with Norm Blais Law Office, in Burlington.
She was a graduate of BFA in St. Albans. Marilyn was known for her big heart and her affection for her granddaughter, Meghan Savage, who brought her immense joy. With her family being her proudest accomplishment, Marilyn fostered an environment rich in love and support that will be felt by those she leaves behind.
Marilyn also cherished her hobbies, often found dancing, reading, cooking, baking, and knitting—all of which were infused with the love she shared with her family and friends. Her vivacity and enthusiasm for life left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Carl F. Lozon III; her daughter, Laurie Savage, and her husband Kevin; her cherished granddaughter, Meghan Savage; her stepsons, Carl F. Lozon IV, Tyler Lozon, and his wife, Anne, along with her six step grand children; and her brother, Gerald Cota and her three nieces. She will forever be remembered, not only for her accomplishments but also for the immense love she cultivated daily.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and K. Herman Cota and her sister in law Connie Cota, whose legacy of love and kindness undoubtedly lives on through Marilyn's spirit.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on December 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Minor Funeral and Cremation Center, located at 237 Route US-7, Milton, VT 05468. Marilyn's presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts she touched.
