Marcel Brault, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on February 25,2021 with his loving wife and daughter by his side. He was the son of the late Gerard and Theresa Brault.
After high school Marcel served four years in the US Army stationed in Panama. This is where he learned the art of cooking. After the army he married his first love, Nancy. He then found his second love (cooking) while employed at IBM.
Marcel loved playing cards, board games and making others laugh. He was quite the jokester. Most importantly he was a family man. Whether planned or spontaneous he would pack the family in the car with a cooler ready to go. A day trip to the beach, or his favorite fishing spot we never knew, the destination, unknown. He shared many of those same adventures with his grandchildren.
Marcel and Nancy (Austin) married on November 24, 1962. Marcel is survived by his loving wife of 58 years. Nancy Brault. His children Kimberly (husband - Jeremy) Bates, Michael (wife - Sue ) Brault, James (wife- Cindy) Brault. His grandchildren who all had a special place in his heart. Zachary, Colby, Matthew, Andrew, Kayla and Ryan. His siblings Rachel O'Brien and Michael Brault. He also leaves behind many sisters and brothers in law, including many nieces and nephews.
Marcel was preceded in death by his infant twin daughters, his parents Gerard and Theresa Brault and siblings Rita Fontaine, Doris Alberts and Cecile Savage.
In his final weeks Marcel showed what true courage looked like. He continued to show a stubborn side and the jokester we all knew him to be.
