Swanton, VT-Lynn Root, 61, passed away March 23, 2023, at Northwestern Medical Center.

Lynn was born on December 3, 1961, in Burlington, Vermont, the daughter of the late Bernard Root Sr. and Rose (Tucker).

Lynn attended high school at Milton High School and worked as a computer graphic designer most of her working life at the Buyers Digest and Lane Press. She was employed most recently at Precision Tools in Swanton, VT.

Lynn enjoyed sunsets and always managed to capture the most beautiful shots. She loved her jeep and the lake. She was always up for an adventure and would jump right on the boat when her son would show up in her lake front yard to spend the day fishing and enjoying the beautiful Vermont summers. Lynn was passionate about her family and friends, but her son Peter was the light of her life.

She is survived by her son, Peter John Root, and companion Angela Cooper; her grandchildren, Makayla Kelly, and Logan Root and 1 great-grandchild on the way; her Siblings, Bernard and wife Sandra Root, Richard and wife Dianne Root, Judy Pratt and husband Peter, Ronald, and wife Veda Root, Lourraine Vanslette, and Larry Root and companion Lisa; brother-in-law Richard, husband to the late Barbara Davis; several nieces and nephews; her close friend Norman Rainville; her landlords, Betty, and Mike; and her Precision Tools Family.

She is predeceased by her parents, Rose, and Bernard Root Sr; her sisters, Barbara Davis, and Donna Mannings; and brother-in-law Marvin Mannings.

Visiting hours will be on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023, beginning with a prayer service from Father Feltz at 1:00pm. At the conclusion of the prayer service, visiting hours will be open until 3:00pm.
