Burlington, VT--Louis "Sonny" Edward Bombard Jr., 85, passed away September 1, 2022 at University of Vermont Medical Center. Sonny was born on October 17, 1936 in Burlington, VT as the child of Louis Bombard Sr., and Merilda (Duell) He married Charlene Santerre on February 19th, 1972 at St. Francis Church in Winooski. Sonny was Coca-Cola truck driver for most of his working life. He also was a Vietnam Navy Veteran. He is survived by: his spouse Charlene Bombard; his children; Louis (Tory) Bombard III of FL, Dale (Sue-Ellen) Bombard of FL, Mark Bombard of Essex Junction, John (Stacy) Bombard of Rouses Point, NY, Charles (Wendy) Bombard of South Burlington and Kimberly Bombard of Rouses Point, NY. His siblings; Marie Rouille, Paul Bombard and David Bombard. And his 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Louis Bombard Sr., and Merilda Bombard. And his siblings; Dorothy Fortin, Katherine Roussin, Helen Young, Barbara Lafountain, May Hoover, Mary Loo Sloucum and Harold Bombard. Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, September 8th 2022 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm with a funeral service starting immediately following.
