Karol Vernon White

Milton-Karol Vernon White, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his home in Milton. He was 81 years old. Karol was born in Burlington, VT on Sept. 18th, 1940, the son of Raymond "Ray" White and Jennie (Garvey) White. Karol married his first wife Loretta Underwood in 1959, with whom he had three children, Carl, David, and Lori. He married Dorothy (Prim) Cross in 1978. In Karol's younger days he farmed in Addison County. Karol worked for Newton's Gas, then worked for many years for McAuliffe Office Supply until he retired in 2002. Karol was a member of both the Eagles Club and the Moose Club, both here and in FL as Karol and Dorothy were snowbirds. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing. He also loved dancing and singing karaoke. His most enjoyable time was spending time with his family, whom he loved. Karol is survived by his three children, Carl White and his wife Arlene of Winooski, David White of Barre and Lori Buckbee and her husband Brian of Colchester. He is also survived by his step children Sue Moghimi and husband Akbar of Burlington, Teresa Cross of Manchester, Chuck Cross and his wife Linda of Burlington, Michael Cross and his wife Genevieve of Callahan FL, Mary Cross of Burlington, and his ex wife Loretta Jarvis of Milton, whom he recently had grown close to again. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Karol is predeceased by his wife Dorothy, his parents Ray White and Jennie, his siblings Bernard White and Leona White, as well as his grandchild Daniel. Visiting hours will be Monday, February 28, 2022 at Minor Funeral Home from 4 - 6 pm, with a service at 6 pm. A burial will take place in the spring.
