Joseph A. Hamel, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and cherished friend to many, passed away on October 3, 2023. He was born on November 28, 1974, in Melrose, Massachusetts to his loving parents Reginald Hamel and Rose Hamel.

Joe was a devoted father who cherished every moment spent with his three children: Joey was his shadow, light, rock and left an imprint on Joe’s heart every day; Bella and Aliah brought immense joy into his life; filled his days with love and laughter. Their bond will forever remain unbreakable.

Joe leaves behind his father Reginald Hamel, his mother Rose Hamel, brother Jeffrey Hamel and his wife Christina, nieces Brooke, Bridget, Britney and nephew Brody, brother Jon Hamel and his pup Shanna, numerous uncles, aunts cousins and his very close Milton family.

A man of many talents and a heart filled with kindness, Joes presence brought light and joy to the lives of those around him. From a young age, it was clear that he possessed a natural gift for mastering new skills. His ability to fix anything with a motor to building a house, Joe was a true jack-of-all-trades, master of many. His expertise extended to various fields including mechanics, plumbing, electrical work, engineering, carpentry, and fabrication. There seemed to be no task he couldn't tackle with his motivation and skill.

However, Joe’s true calling in life was lending a hand and helping others. A role model for hard work. He effortlessly merged his innate talent for motivating others with a genuine love for helping young people succeed. As a coach for Joey's baseball and football teams in recent years, Joe's discipline-with-love approach endeared him to both the youth he coached and their grateful parents. His energy and dedication were unparalleled; he pushed his teams to reach their fullest potential while always offering unwavering support and encouragement.

To honor the life and legacy of Joseph A. Hamel, a Celebration of Life will be held on November 28, 2023, at Minor Funeral and Cremation Center located at 237 Route US-7, Milton, Vermont 05468. The ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m. as family and friends join together to remember the extraordinary individual that Joseph was.
