Joseph William Haltigan

Burlington, VT--Joseph William Haltigan Jr., 89, passed away March 23, 2022 at University of Vermont Medical Center. Joseph was born on June 24, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, the Son of Joseph Haltigan and Margaret (Kauper). He worked as a senior architectural designer and draftsman, and he was innovative and very creative. After leaving the design business behind, he was in the army and served overseas. He is survived by: his sister; Margaret M. Haltigan of NJ, nephews; John Kerins of NJ, Gerard (Cathy) Kerins of CT, Peter (Linda) Kerins of NJ, Elizabeth (Christopher) McCormack of NJ, Thomas (Alice) Haltigan of NJ, Gregory (Vanessa) Haltigan of NY, Bryan (Judy) Haltigan of CA, and 18 great-nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph W. Haltigan; mother, Margaret Haltigan; life long partner, Claire G. Berthold, sister, Carol Kerins (Edward Kerins); brother, Thomas A. Haltigan (Dolores A. Haltigan); and niece, Sally Kerins. There will be a family led graveside service on Friday, September 16th, 2022 beginning at 11 AM in Grand Isle Cemetery.
