St. Albans - John Robert Brennan, 35, died peacefully on Friday July 17, 2020 at the McClure Miller Respite House, with his loving family by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer.
John was born on April 29, 1985 in Huntington, England, the son of James and Susan (Brandt) Brennan.
He graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a Bachelors in Fine Arts in film, where he met many of his beloved friends. The friends John made throughout the course of his life were what made John such a charismatic person, and he was so grateful for all of them.
John's passion was the movie making process. He loved traveling, ice fishing, collecting guns, and was an avid yo-yo competitor. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He always had his hands on some project which lead him to open his business, Savage Property Management. John even ran for state representative.
John is survived by his mother Susan Brennan of St. Albans, his father James Brennan of Texas, his half-brother and sister Zachery and Zoe Brennan of Arizona, his Aunt Laurie Brandt of Fairfax and Uncle Charles and Aunt Ruth Brandt of VA, several cousins including Morgan and Evan Marnell and many great aunts and uncles and extended family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday July 27, 2020 from 5-7pm at the Minor Funeral Home in Milton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 28, 2020 at 11am at St. Luke Catholic Church in Fairfax. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Albans.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks if memorial contributions be made to the McClure Miller Respite House, 3113 Roosevelt Hwy, Colchester, VT 05446.
