Jerrald Wayne Ogle

May 22, 1950 — May 12, 2021

Milton, VT-Jerrald "Jerry" Wayne Ogle, 70, of Milton, Vermont passed away May 12, 2021 at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Jerry was born on May 22, 1950 in Cookeville, TN, the Son of Raymond Ogle and Willene (Nash) Ogle. Jerry married Jeri Ackerman on December 13, 1979 at East Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Detroit, Michigan; beginning their long and happy life together. He then earned a Bachelor's Degree from Mount Saint Mary College and worked as a Maintenance Technician for IBM until his retirement. Jerry's hobbies included woodworking; he designed and crafted many of the rooms in their home, including the kitchen, bathrooms, and had just finished his office. Always the family man, he made jewelry boxes for many of his nieces and daughter, crafted bedroom furniture with his sons, and designed other things for many over the years. Jerry had a great sense of humor and always had great dad jokes to share with everyone, which keep the whole family laughing through the years. He loved traveling with his family to National Parks where they often camped and enjoyed time together as family. Photography was a passion during his life and those travels were his favorite places to take some amazing photos which decorate their home. Bird watching in the back yard was another hobby; he loved to watch the woodpeckers come in, and always worried about the cardinals, hoping they were okay. He always made sure food was out for them and even went as far as to buy berry bushes to help bring in a variety of birds to enjoy. He is survived by his spouse Jeri, his children, Jerrald Ogle, of Westford, Justine Hedman and her husband Scott, of Milton, Jacob Ogle, of Essex Junction; his grandchildren, Blake Hedman, Kailey Hedman, Sienna Hedman; his sister Theresa Johansen.
