Jeffrey Marshall

September 18, 1958 — May 12, 2022

Jeffrey Kenneth Marshall, 63, of the Cannon Corners Road, Mooers Forks, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, May 12, 2022, at his home. He was born in Burlington, VT on September 18, 1958, the son of Harold K. and Charol A. (Valyou) Marshall. He attended schools in Grand Isle, Colchester, Milton, VT. He was a very knowledgeable and talented automotive mechanic and autobody technician. Classic cars and hot rods were his passion, along with farm tractors. He was involved in many classic car clubs including Champlain Valley Street Rodders in Vermont. He raced stock cars at Catamount Speedway in Milton, VT and also at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh. He enjoyed going to car shows with his amazing black 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. In his early years he lived in Grand Isle, Colchester and Milton, VT. He built two homes in Milton. Then in the 1995 he moved to Mooers Forks, NY, where he found his dream land and made his home there on Cannon Corners Road. He was a kind person with a big heart. He was so talented. He enjoyed talking to anyone about cars and was always happy to give advice or offer to help them. Especially his sister, Lisa and brother-in-law, Russ, who always called him for advice about their cars. Jeff and his sister Lisa had a very special bond, they always knew they could count on each other no matter what. He was her big brother, and she was his kid sister. He was her protector, her best friend and her rock and so much more. He passed his love of classic cars onto her as well. She is heart broken by his passing. But, knowing that he has been reunited with his family and friends in heaven gives us great joy. I will forever miss you, until we meet again. Please know that I love you and I cherished the time we had together. I am glad I have so many great memories of you. Jeff and his brother-in-law Russ also shared a special bond. They loved to talk about cars and would work on them together. Russ would ask Jeff's advice on cars and Jeff loved being able to help solve the problem or help diagnose the problem. They were always there for one another. Jeff knew Russ was there to take care of Lisa and that made him feel at ease knowing that she had a good man and one that would take care of her and protect her once he was gone. Jeff and Russ had become brothers. In 2002 he married Marla Paquette from Colchester, VT, even though they divorced, they still remained friends for many years. Left to cherish the memory of Jeff are, his sister, Lisa and her finance, Russell Baker of Milton, VT and their fur babies Moosey Mae and CASH; his baby kitties, Baby and Sable; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and very special friends from Vermont - Jim Ricker, Gordon Ritchie, Beaver Farnsworth, Jason Benjamin, etc. and New York - Francis McNeil, Tom Gowett, Randall Nephew, etc. There are so many other friends and family too numerous to mention all of whom he treasured having them in his life.
