Gina McSweeney

Milton -- Gina Marie McSweeney, peacefully passed away on September 30, 2023, at her home with her family by her side in Milton, VT. She was born on March 5, 1962, in Burlington, VT, to proud parents Keith and Ila [Cross] Barrows.

Gina dedicated much of her life to her work as a janitorial professional. Following in her mother's footsteps, she served as a commercial cleaner for the Town of Milton and also for York Inc. Additionally, Gina worked alongside her sister-in-law Karen at sweet energy ,offset house with sister in-in-law Nancy around town Gourmet, providing cleaning services at New York Dry Cleaning and for various homes in the Milton area. Her strong work ethic and attention to detail were admired by all who knew her.

Outside of work, Gina found joy in various activities. She could often be seen riding her beloved 10-speed bike through the streets of Milton. Gina's love for animals was evident through her cherished pets, including her faithful dogs Bear, Buster, Sady , Kiki , Hunter and Meka as well as her cats Troubles, Missy, Ralph, Magic ,Boots and Mittens. And many others

In her leisure time, Gina delighted in drawing art ,horse back riding, 4-wheeling adventures, spending time at her cherished camp, and taking dips in the refreshing waters of the nearby lake. She had an undeniable passion for Yellow Mustangs, appreciating their timeless elegance and power.

Gina is survived by her devoted spouse Donnie McSweeney Sr., her son Donnie McSweeney Jr. of Milton, her siblings, Kevin (Lynn) Barrows, Brenda Legacy, Rick (Nancy) Barrows, her uncle Arlen (Caroline) Cross, her aunt Polly Gordon, her mother-in-law Ann McSweeney, her brothers-in-law, Ralph (Connie) McSweeney III, Gary (Janelle) McSweeney. And many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents Keith and Ila Barrows, her brothers, Mitchell Barrows, Jeff Barrows, her nephew Jeremy Legacy, her father-in-law Ralph McSweeney Jr., and her brothers-in-law, Larry McSweeney, Roger McSweeney.

A visitation to pay final respects and honor Gina's life will take place at Minor Funeral Home on October 10^th, 2023, starting at 1:30 pm and a prayer service with Father Feltz beginning at 3:30pm. A funeral mass will follow the next day, October 11^th, 2023, at St. Ann Parish beginning at 11:00am with a committal service immediately following at St. Ann Cemetery.
