Obituary of Gary William Monahan

Gary William Monahan, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 18, 2017, while fishing with his brother in law Maurice Bascom.

Gary was born January 5, 1947 in Burlington, the son of the late Ralph and Leona Sears Monahan. He was raised in Burlington with his two brothers and two sisters. He attended the Burlington school system and worked in the area as a self-employed contractor.

He is survived by his son, Sean and wife Amanda. His daughter, Courtney and partner George; his sisters, Sandy Rotella and husband Tom, Pam Bascom and husband, Maurice; Grandchildren, Krysta, Amber, Skyler, Brianna, Karmen and Sabrina; several nieces and nephews and his ex-wife, Lorraine. He was predeceased by his brothers, James and Bobby Monahan.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Milton Rescue for all their efforts extended to Gary.

There will be no services at this time according to Gary's wishes. Burial will be at the convenience of the family
