Dovie Louise Adams

Colchester, VT--Dovie Louise Adams, 89, of Grand Isle, passed away November 19, 2021 at McLure Miller Respite House with her loving family by her side. Dovie was born on December 29, 1931 in Calera, Oklahoma, the daughter of Paul Dillon Jones and Rosa Lee (Guess) Jones. She was the wife of the late Donald Adams, Sr. Dovie was an RN, who graduated from Parkland Hospital in Dallas TX. She was a generous loving person who gave of herself in anything she did. She loved to read, sew, garden,fish, and camp. She spent her life doing for others as much as she possibly could in her work as a nurse or a friend or a mother or grandmother. Dovie was a beautiful person who loved god and displayed a life that all others who knew her were blessed by. She is survived by: her children, Eva and her husband Jayson Purvis, of Grand Isle, VT, Harold Adams, of Swanton, VT; her 7 grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Kristen Adams, Jr Adams, Tj Maynard, Louie Adams, Kyra Purvis and Brittany Nieves and her many great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Donald Adams, Sr. and her son Donald Adams, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 2pm in Day Break Community Church, 67 Creek Farm Plaza Colchester, VT 05446
