Doreen Joyce Hadley, a beloved homemaker and devoted caregiver, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on May 6, 1929, Doreen lived a life filled with love, resilience, and a deep sense of commitment to her family.
Doreen was not only a nurturing presence in her home but also a steadfast caretaker for her husband, Irvin Hadley, who proudly served as a military veteran. Her dedication to her family was evident in every aspect of her life, shaping a warm and welcoming environment for all who entered her home.
An individual of many passions, Doreen found joy in a variety of hobbies. She was an avid gardener, cultivating vibrant flowers and vegetables that brought beauty to her home. Camping trips were a cherished family tradition, where she created lasting memories under the stars. Doreen had a passion for sewing, skillfully crafting items that demonstrated her creativity and care. Travel was another passion of hers, particularly the memorable trips she took to Myrtle Beach, where she enjoyed the sun and surf. Additionally, she found solace in reading, often losing herself in the pages of a good book.
Doreen is survived by her loving daughters, Linda Mokry and Judy Phillips, who will carry on her legacy of kindness and strength. She is also survived by her brother Ronald Donely and her cherished grandchildren, Carrie Montanez, Jennifer Madore, Dylan Morgan, and Tara Di Ruggiero, and several great-grandchildren also remember her fondly and will carry her spirit in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Irvin Hadley; her parents, Arthur and Anne Donley; her daughter, Bonita Morgan; and her sister, Patricia Dennis. Each of these individuals played a special role in her life, and their memories will forever be a part of her story.
As we reflect on the life of Doreen Joyce Hadley, we remember her as a pillar of strength, an embodiment of love, and a source of inspiration for all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will live on through her family and the countless memories she created throughout her remarkable life.
Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday May 22, 2025 from 10:00AM- 12:00PM, with Funeral Service beginning at 12:00PM at The Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton, VT. A Graveside committal will take place at 2:00PM at the Mallets Bay Cemetery on May 22, 2025 at 2:00PM.
