Diane Lussier

August 20, 1956 — June 10, 2025

Burlington

Diane Lussier, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at the University of Vermont Medical Center after a period of declining health. Born on August 20, 1956, in Burlington, Vermont, Diane was a proud graduate of Essex High School and lived a life filled with love, strength, and camaraderie.

Diane was a woman who relished the joy found in life's simple pleasures. She had a passion for shopping and garage sales, always on the lookout for a hidden treasure. Her heart was deeply intertwined with family traditions, especially the cherished fishing trips she took with her late husband, Allen Lussier. Together, they made memories that would last a lifetime.

A strong-willed spirit who never hesitated to speak her mind, Diane was known for her caring nature and unwavering support. Her loved ones were always aware of how she felt about them; her honesty and affection created a transparent and loving environment for her family and friends to thrive in.

Diane's proudest accomplishment was raising her children—Tammy Demar, Shawn Lussier, Marcie Lussier, Jason Lussier, Allen M. Lussier, and Alicha Lussier—who undoubtedly carry forward her legacy of strength and love. A devoted grandmother, she took immense pride in her 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, often spoiling them with her warmth and guidance.

She is survived by her siblings, Wanda Pike, Russel Demar, and Brenda Brown, who shared many memories and moments of joy with her throughout the years.

Diane now joins her beloved husband, Allen Lussier, and her parents, Frederick and Juanita (Sanderson) Demar, in eternal rest. She is also reunited with her siblings Roderick “Deedee”, Bradley, Ronald, and Bruce Demar, and Donna Turner, as well as her cherished nieces, Tonya Demar and Melissa Santaw, all of whom she missed dearly.

The family would like to thank the kind and compassionate care of Miller five and Dialysis Team at Joy Drive.

Diane Lussier will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, fierce love, and the countless memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her. A visitation will take place on June 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton, Vermont, where family and friends can gather to celebrate her life and share in their collective grief and joyful reminiscences.
