Dawn Wimble, 79, passed away peacefully after a few years of declining health, on March 27, 2026 at the Villa in St. Albans, Vermont. She was surrounded by her loving family and dedicated team of caring nurses.
Dawn was born on August 8, 1946 in Spooner, Minnesota to Eugenia Crawford whom she loved dearly. She spent many days each year visiting her Mom and sisters; Sylvia Howe (UT), Nita Ingold (CA), and her brother Gary Bruber (VA) and her out of state sons. She grew up knowing love that created a kind and soft spoken woman and a strong bond between her siblings and their Mom.
She had many interests and hobbies including reading, crocheting, cross stitching and a green thumb for gardening and landscaping. She loved her frog pond, her humming birds, the Ocean (the coast), shells, thrift shopping, yard sales and her many treasures. We all knew her love of photography, where she always had at least two cameras in her bag! She loved to capture her family, friends and anything nature. She never wanted to miss a moment in travel or photos, even at the very end.
Her greatest love was the family she created over her years. From her three children in her first marriage, to her marriage to George Wimble and the two sons they had together. George, Dawn and her five children have shared a life of many happy farming memories and a life lived in Vermont. She enjoyed walking the hill (farm) and woods surrounding her home. Her many gardens were beautiful!
Dawn leaves behind her beloved husband of 46 years, George Wimble, her five children; Kam Johnson (FL), Kevin Johnson (FL), Jeannie Johnson (VT), Adam Wimble (VT), Jeremy Wimble (VT). Also her 12 Grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a special brother in law, Ken Wimble. She also leaves behind many friends and extended family.
Dawn Wimble will be laid to rest at a graveside service at Milton Village Cemetery on May 11, 2026 at 11am.
