David Vincent Sr.

Georgia--David Vincent Sr., 78, passed away October 25, 2022, at his home. David was born on February 7, 1944, in Burlington, Vermont, the son of the late Clyde Vincent and Dora (Baker) Vincent. He married Shirley Vezina on August 24, 1963, at St. Francis of Xavier and they spent almost 60 wonderful years as husband and wife. David spent all his working life as a police officer spanning over 33 years. In this time, he worked for Milton Police Department, Winooski Police Department, Grand Isle, Chittenden, and Franklin County Sheriff's Department. David was very active in the town of Georgia, serving on the Fire Department and water department. All of his service to the town of Georgia led to a street being named in his honor. He was also the boy scouts founder in Georgia. He is survived by his wife Shirley; his children, David B. Vincent, Jr of Milton, Lori King and husband Allen of Georgia, and Shannon Vincent of Georgia; his 6 grandchildren; his 8 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Gordon Vincent and Gary Vincent, both of Milton. He was the brother in law to Albert "Sonny" Vezina and his wife Pam of Winooski and son in law to Josephine Vezina. He is predeceased by his parents Clyde and Dora Vincent; brothers, Paul Vincent, Andrew Vincent, and Raymond Vincent; and sisters Irene Martin, Virginia St. Amour and Marion Poland. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 1st from 4 to 6 PM at the Minor Funeral Home, in Milton, VT. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church, with a committal service to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
