Daniel Katon, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Katon Sr. Known to many as Dan, he is a beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather and Friend. He touched the lives of those around him with a warm smile and kind heart. 

Dan was born on June 9, 1972 to James Katon and Marlene (Easton) Katon. 

Dan led a fulfilling life. He graduated from Milton High School in the class of 1991. He pursued various career paths throughout his life but found particular joy in his recent role at Wendy’s Restaurant. 

When he wasn’t working, Dan could be found tinkering with model cars or trying his luck at the slot machines in a nearby casino.

A family man through and through, Dan cherished spending time with his loved ones. Whether cruising the streets in his truck “Ghost” or visiting his daughter, grandchildren and sister. Family always came first for him. His family will forever hold memories of Dan close to their hearts. 

On June 3, 2024, surrounded by his daughter, Tammy and sister, Wendy at the University of Vermont Medical Center, Dan peacefully passed away. 

He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be carried on by his surviving family members: 

Fiancée Eileen & their fur children Gizmo, Dr. Pickles & Midnight. 

Children; Tammy (Ryan), Alex (Jennifer) & Daniel Jr.

Grandchildren; James, Carter, Emersyn, Jaxxon & Boston. 

Sister, Wendy & Brother-in-law, Eric. 

Many nieces & nephews; Katie (Kyle) & their children Hailee & Henry, Sarah (Randy) & their children Alex, Irelynn & Oaklynn, James (Bonnie), Angel & her daughter Journee, Erica (Richie) & their daughter Payton, Myleah (Kyle), Dalton (Morgan) & their children Kayden, Bentley & Alijah, Phillip & his children Patrick & Preston, Kyth (Janelle) & their daughter Brooklyn, Dayla (Hunter) and Nevaeh. Also included is his God-Sister, Tammy & her children Amber & Amanda, His Aunt Deena & Uncle Bimbo Wells. As well as other siblings John, Alice & Phillip.

He is predeceased by his parents, Grandson Noah, Godmother Eileen Rockwell, his Ride or Die Cousin Angel & his Son-in-law Tyler. 

A celebration of life service will be held on June 26, 2024 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton, VT. A prayer service will be held at 6:00pm with Father Feltz. 

Rest in peace, Dan. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
