Coralyn "Coco" Poirier, born on January 17, 1940, in Shelburne, Vermont, passed away on August 17, 2026, in Burlington Vermont after a period of declining health, with her loving family by her side.

Those who knew Coco carry with them the memory of a woman whose warmth and kindness radiated throughout all the chapters of her remarkable life. From her earliest days in Shelburne, she brought joy and light to her family and friends, forging deep and lasting bonds that endured and deepened over the years.

Coco's life was one rooted in love and dedication—to her family, her community, and all those fortunate enough to cross her path. She was the cherished wife of Normand Poirier of 68 years, with whom she shared a lifetime of steadfast devotion. Together, they built a legacy characterized by compassion and unwavering support for one another.

As a beloved mother, Coralyn’s love knew no bounds. She is lovingly remembered and mourned by her husband, her children and their spouses: Edward Poirier and his wife Priscilla, Kathleen Boivin and her husband David, and Christina Robert and her husband James. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Beane, and sister-in-law, Nancy; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Through each stage of their lives, her gentle guidance, deep understanding, and nurturing spirit helped shape the people they have become. Her influence will echo for generations.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Hope and Carl Beane Sr., her two infant children Mary and Micheal, and her dear brothers, Carl Beane Jr., Lyle Beane and Richard Beane. The family takes comfort in knowing that they are reunited once more, held together by the incredible love that defined them.

In every role she embraced—wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend—Coco embodied grace, resilience, and selflessness and remembered for her many talents of baking, cooking, sewing, knitting and quilting. Whether in small gestures or grand sacrifices, she gave herself fully, never seeking recognition but always leaving a mark on the hearts of those around her.

Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Coralyn "Coco" are invited to gather, remember, and celebrate the enduring legacy of a truly remarkable woman. A Funeral Mass honoring Coralyn’s life will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, located at 3 St. Peter St, Winooski, VT 05404, on September 4, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
