Charles E. Thibault, a beloved father, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, in Burlington after a brief illness. He was born on July 22, 1942, in St. Albans, Vermont, son of the late Arthur and Muriel (Doe) Thibault

Following graduation from BFA St. Albans, Charlie proudly served in the United States Navy and later spent 30 years working in the mask house at IBM before retiring. He spent a lifetime embodying the values of friendship, adventures, and love for the stories they created. He found joy in fishing, deer camp, the growth of his grandchildren, gambling, and last, but not least, card games at the club.

His genuine warmth and ability to connect with others helped make him friends wherever he went, fostering lifelong connections through organizations such as the St. Albans Elks Lodge 1566, American Legion Post1, and the Milton Eagles Club. As a true social butterfly, Charles thrived in the company of others, sharing countless stories and laughter.

Charlie is survived by his beloved partner, Chiara Beaudette, whose companionship enriched his life. He leaves behind his adoring sons he shared with Ursula (Moreau) Thibault: Richard Thibault, Shawn Thibault(Stacy), and Scott Thibault(Lisa), who were proud to call him dad. In addition, Chiara's children: Jeremy Beaudette(Maya) and Travis Beaudette(Liza). His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren, who will fondly remember the love he showered upon them: Aaron, Brayden, Jordan, Matthew, Rachael, Jonathan, Micah, Reagan, Jackson, Ariston, Casten, Adisen, and great grandson Corbin.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard, who will greet him with open arms in the realm beyond. Charles’s spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

A committal service will be held in the spring in St Ann Cemetery, Milton.
