Colchester – Born on March 29, 1949, in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, Bruce Gordon was a devoted husband, cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a true patriot. With heavy hearts, we announce his peaceful passing on February 2, 2024, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, Vermont.

Bruce's journey in this life was marked by his unwavering dedication to the values he held dear. From a young age, he understood the call to serve his country and courageously joined the military, starting in the Marine Corps and served as a machine gunner and then joining the Vermont Army National Guard. He proudly served in the Vietnam War and in Desert Storm, fulfilling his duty with honor and valor.

He married the love of his life, Rita [Masson] Pellerin in Barre, Vermont on May 23, 1986, where they lived and then later moved to Milton, Vermont where they lived for 37 years before moving to Colchester.

Following his time in the military, Bruce found solace and purpose in his work as a member of the service and maintenance team at the University of Vermont Medical Center. For countless years, his diligent efforts and meticulous care made the university campus a haven of natural beauty.

He is survived by his true love; Rita Pellerin, step-son; Stephen (Kim) Pellerin, sister; Louise Latulippe, grandchildren; Brooke Pellerin, Brody Pellerin and Natalye Emery, great-grandchildren; Aubrey and Dakota; nieces and nephews; Amy Latulippe, Scott Latulippe and Kristi Latulippe, and many other friends and family.

Bruce is predeceased by his mother, Janice Gordon.
