Beverly Olive Conger, a beloved member of the Milton community, passed away on October 8, 2024, at the McClure Miller Respite House, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born June 7, 1939, in Milton, Vermont, Beverly epitomized the spirit of her hometown, embracing both its simplicity and its vibrancy throughout her life.
With a warm smile and an infectious enthusiasm, Beverly embarked on her career at the National Biscuit Company, before moving on to Coca-Cola, and ultimately to Merchants Bank, now known as Community Bank. Her dedication and hard work were evident in everything she did, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues and those she served.
Basketball held a special place in Beverly’s heart. She not only enjoyed playing during her high school years but continued to foster her passion through her lifelong support of local athletic events. Her excitement and pride radiated when watching her grandson, Kevin Conger, participate in the Unified Basketball Program at Champlain Valley Union High School. Her love for athletics extended beyond basketball to include bowling and horseshoes, solidifying her role as an enthusiastic supporter of the sports she cherished.
Beverly's lively spirit was complemented by her close-knit family. She is survived by her loving son, Brian Conger, and his wife, Lois, whose companionship and support meant the world to her. The bond she shared with her grandson, Kevin, brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Beverly also leaves behind her sister, Eleanor Cadreact, who held a special place in her heart throughout their lives together. She is also survived by her sister in law Barb Robar and many nieces and nephews.
Although Beverly is mourned deeply, she is reunited in spirit with her beloved husband, Donald Conger, and her siblings, Paul Robar, Esther Shores, Raymond Robar, and John Robar. Their memories will forever be treasured by those who knew them.
A visitation to celebrate Beverly's life will be held on October 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton, Vermont. A funeral service will follow on October 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
