Barbara Blanche Shorey

Barbara Blanche Shorey passed peacefully July 12 at Elderwood Nursing Center in Burlington VT. Barb was born in Albany NY June 27, 1952, to James W and Marie K Shorey. She grew up in Rutland graduating from Rutland High School in 1970 and graduating with RN degree from Castleton State College in 1973. Barb is survived by 4 children Benjamin, Beverly, Barney & Annamarie, 3 sisters, Lorraine Austin, Sandra Labounty and Beth Flood, 2 brothers, Gene and Ken Shorey, several grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Lori Gardner and brothers Ernest, William, and Christopher Shorey. Per Barb’s wishes, there will be no public services, and her cremated remains will be interred in Jerusalem Cemetery in North Hero, VT. Minor Funeral Home in Milton handled arrangements.
