Arlene Lauziere

April 13, 1932 — December 29, 2022

Milton--Arlene Gordon Lauziere, 90, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022, at Birchwood Terrace following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Arlene was born on April 13, 1932, in Westford, Vermont, a daughter of Joseph and Aline (Martell) Gordon. On September 2, 1950, she married Roger J. Lauziere, Sr. in St. Ann Church in Milton, Vermont. Arlene loved to host parties, with family and friends, and gatherings in their home. Many laughs and memories were shared there. Arlene was employed by Thermal Wire in South Hero, and Fonda Container in St. Albans where she retired after almost 30 years. There was no craft that Arlene could not do. She enjoyed camping, knitting, crocheting and decorating cakes. She made many birthday, wedding, and all occasion cakes for the community. Arlene embraced the Catholic Faith with her husband, Roger, Sr., who was in the first class of deacons to graduate in 1980. Arlene was the kind of person who encompassed the true virtues of love and devotion. She was a tremendous caregiver to her family. Arlene is survived by her children, Larry Lauziere (Amy), Lisa Sheridan (Brian), Brian Lauziere (Holly), and Renee Lauziere (Sean). Arlene was a proud "Mamie" to eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Arlene is also survived by Pauline Gordon, Jerilyn Gordon, Jean-Louis Lauziere and Jeannine Lauziere. Arlene was predeceased by her husband, Roger, Sr. in 2003, her son, Roger, Jr. in 2021, and her parents, Joseph and Aline Gordon. She was predeceased by all of her siblings, Gloria LaFountain (Edward), Shirley Reynolds (Stanley), Clifton Gordon (Joyce), Leland Gordon, Phyllis Pidgeon (Reginald) and Robert Gordon. She was also predeceased by Roger's family: George and Clairina Lemire Lauziere, Roland Lauziere, Camille Lauziere, Andre Lauziere (Laurette), Marie Lauziere Cambridge (Ken), Julien Lauziere and Rita Lauziere. The family would like to thank Mary Lafromboise, Susan Johnson and the staff at Home Instead for the care they provided Arlene while she was in her home.
