Allen Poulin, a cherished member of the community and beloved family man, passed away on May 20, 2025, in St. Albans, Vermont, at the age of 84. Born on December 21, 1940, in Barre, Vermont, Allen lived a life characterized by kindness, humility, and a strong work ethic.

Allen graduated from Spaulding High School, Class of 1958, and began his career with Rock of Ages before joining IBM, where he dedicated many years of his professional life. Later, he took the bold step of establishing his own business, Vermont Siding and Insulation, which he successfully operated until his retirement. His passion for craftsmanship extended beyond his profession; Allen was an avid woodworker, reflecting his love for creating and building with his hands.

In addition to his professional achievements, Allen proudly served in the Vermont Air National Guard. He was not only known for his dedication to his work and military service but was also remembered for his warm personality. Friends and family alike described him as a very good guy and a kind, likeable individual who made a genuine impact on those around him.

Allen's interests extended beyond his career. He was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman, spending much of his leisure time enjoying the great outdoors. Above all, he treasured the moments spent with his family. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relishing in every opportunity to share special memories with them.

He is survived by his son, Lance Poulin and his wife Jennifer; his stepchildren, Larry Cota and his wife Denise, Steve Cota, and Michael Cota and his partner Barb; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his stepbrother, Kenneth Pecor and his sister in law, Ann Poulin and her daughter, Jeannie Kleptz. He is also survived by his good friend Cheryl Veren.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Dolor Poulin and Mildred Lowery; his beloved wife, Elizabeth Poulin; his son, Allen Poulin; his stepdaughter, Susan Cota; and his brother, Dolor "Sonny" Poulin.

A graveside service will be held in his memory on May 27, 2025, at Binghamville Cemetery in Fletcher, Vermont, starting at 11:00 AM.

Allen Poulin's legacy of love and kindness will endure through the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
