Alan Jacques Nadeau, a well known figure in the community, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023, at his home. He was born on July 17, 1949, in Burlington, Vermont, to Jacques and Ruth Nadeau. Alan was known for his remarkable career in the construction field. Throughout his life, he demonstrated a great deal of expertise in construction, making him a jack of all trades.

Alan's dedication to his craft was apparent to all who knew him. Whether it was building buildings or working on various projects, his attention to detail and commitment to excellence made him stand out in his field.

Beyond his professional life, Alan had a wide range of hobbies and interests. He had an undeniable passion for hunting, particularly waterfowl. Alongside hunting, he took great pleasure in woodworking and creating intricate pieces from scratch such, for his family, such as his computer desk/bookcase, a hope chest, a bunkbed, a treasure chest and various pieces that are used within the community. Alan also had a deep appreciation for firearms and would often spend time perfecting his marksmanship skills.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Nadeau; their children: Lynn Callan and her husband Ray of East Fairfield; Raymond “Ray” Nadeau and his wife Adrenne Griffin of Kentucky; Beth Broderick and her husband Dan of Fairfax. Additionally, Alan is survived by his sister Susan Nadeau Hagar of New York.

Alan will also be remembered by his grandchildren: Ashley Callan, Avyanna Fleming, Tetra Griffin, Isabelle Griffin, and Calleigh Griffin and a great grand-daughter Oakley Fleming. Their laughter brought a special light into his life.

He was predeceased by his parents Ruth and Jacques Nadeau and his daughter Dawn Marie Nadeau.

The memories Alan leaves behind will forever be cherished by his loved ones. He touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on November 22, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Minor Funeral and Cremation Center located at 237 Route US-7, Milton, VT 05468. Family and friends are invited to join together in honoring Alan's life during this time of remembrance.

Alan will always be remembered as a dedicated and skilled professional in the construction industry, a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and a friend to many. May he rest in peace knowing that he positively impacted the lives of so many.
