Georgia -Alan Mossey, 54, passed away May 5, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Duffer was born on May 9, 1968 in Burlington and was a son of Wanda (Wimble) and Alan Mossey.

He married Tammy Barrows on August 18, 1990 in St. Ann Church.

Duffer was self employed for most of his life. Duffer was an outdoorsman. He loved to hunt. There were many memories he and his wife shared while hunting, snowmobiling and kayaking. While not hunting, or thinking about hunting, he enjoyed having pride in his work. This was very evident to those who saw his work, including the home he remodeled and the addition to include the landscaping. “ If I am going to do it, I am going to do it RIGHT”!

He is survived by: his wife and loving partner Tammy Barrows, his children, Brittany Etchells and her husband Brian of Georgia, Bruce “ Buddy” Mossey and his wife Crystal of Fairfax,; his grandchildren, Avery, Bailee, Cayden and Weston; his mother Wanda Mossey of Milton; his grandfather Ed Cote his siblings, Kirk Mossey and his wife Catherine of Fairfax, Karl Mossey of Milton, Tia Rooney of North Carolina, and Lea Reeve and her husband Mark of Milton. He is also survived by his father and mother in law, Bruce and Linda Barrows, brother in law Dan Barrows and his wife Angela and many aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.

Duffer’s family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Lisa Turner LaPete and Dr. Alissa Thomas. The care and assistance you two provided to us was above and beyond what was expected. There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude.

He is predeceased by his  grandparents, Karl and Idabell Wimble, and Marjorie Cote, his father Alan L. Mossey, and his uncles Mark and Dunny Mossey, Chris Letourneau, Richard Palmer and Winfred Decker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home on Friday May 12, at 3PM.
